You may be able to rent from Noovo HQ in Los Vegas directly, depending on availability. The Noovo boutique in Los Angeles also rents Noovos. Most rentals, however, are made from private owners. Check Noovo’s map (uncheck all but the “Ambassador Owner” buttons at the bottom to see just the rentals) for options. If you rent and decide to purchase a Noovo van, Noovo will credit you for two days of the rental. Ask Noovo for deals.

Here are a few of my own thoughts on getting a loan vs. paying cash and on the important topic of loan fees: Noovango: How to pay for your van.

The price you see for any particular new Noovo van is the actual price, there are no “discounts from MSRP,” as is common in the RV industry. They offer a small discount for military service, will credit two days of van rental so that you can try out a Noovo before you buy, and two days’ fees at a campground after pick-up so you can road test your unit while still near Noovo or the dealer, in case there are any issues or you don’t understand something.

Use this loan calculator at RV Loan Wizard to make sense of your loan. If, for some reason, you pay fees on the loan, add them to the “RV Cost ($)” box.

We used Jonathan Zimlin at Priority One (via Sunshine State RV), and were very happy. Check your local credit union, get four quotes, don’t pay loan fees. Contact him via email.

Noovo vans come with a 3-year or 36,000 miles warranty and they have a reputation for excellent customer service, far beyond what is normal in the RV industry.

Submit a service ticket to get into the Noovo repair system by filling out the form on their website. Submit multiple items on the same form–do not submit multiple forms.

You will pick up your Noovo at the Noovo HQ or at Sunshine State, their dealer in Florida. Alternatively, they can deliver the van to you in the United States at no additional charge.

If you are picking up your Noovo at Noovo HQ you can ship boxes to them, which they will store on a pallet, waiting your arrival. In any event, you will want to buy a minimum of items for the van at this point. Do not overbuy/overstuff your van until you have a chance to grow accustomed to its size.

No matter where you pick up your van, you will want to inspect it, looking for any issues that can be immediately resolved by Noovo. Use the Noovango Inspection List. Don’t be intimidated by the size of the list–the items are an accumulation of issues across a number of vans over a period of months. Chances are you will encounter few, if any, of these issues, but the time to find out is on pick-up day or shortly after.

Noovo is lucky in that it has a great community, connected mostly via the online Facebook group: Noovo Van Owners and Enthusiasts

You can ask any question there and learn about physical meet-ups, both those sponsored by Noovo and those organized by members. A friendly, welcoming group, highly recommended for all Noovo owners and wannabe Noovo owners.

From Noovo: Clean the surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use harsh cleaning products, multi-surface sprays, or chemical wipes, as these may damage the natural finish.

To maintain protection and revive the wood’s natural appearance, the surface should be re-oiled periodically, depending on use (typically every 6 to 12 months). Before applying oil, ensure the surface is clean and fully dry. Apply a suitable wood oil evenly using a soft cloth, allow it to absorb for a few minutes, then wipe off any excess. Let the surface cure fully before use.

Any wood cleaner/conditioner usually has waxes/oils in them to seal the wood again. The sealant we use for the hard wood is OSMO 3054 wax based sealant.

From Osmo: Directions for use of Osmo 3054

1. Ensure the surface is clean and free from old finishes.
2. Stir the Polyx-Oil well before using.
3. Apply a thin, even coat along the wood grain using a brush, roller, buffing pad, or cloth.
4. Allow the first coat to dry for approximately 8-10 hours in normal climatic conditions.
5. Apply a second coat using the same method.
6. For highly absorbent or dry timbers, a third coat may be required.
7. Ventilate well while the finish dries.
8. For refreshing oiled/waxed surfaces, generally only one coat is required.
9. Can be spot-repaired and refreshed with no sanding required.

Note that Osmo 3054 is very expensive (approximately $28) for a tiny, 0.125 liter, about 4.25 fl. ounces.

Everyone has different interests and needs, but a common guideline is to bring as little as possible. Don’t overstuff the van. Once you grow accustomed to the Noovo, you will see what you need and what you don’t need. Keep in mind there are Walmarts and Targets nearby, and it is common for your first stop in your new Noovo to be at one of those.

Here is what we bought for our Noovo Plus, either before pick-up or shortly afterwards.

Noovo has a set of older videos on their site, most of which are still accurate today. They also have a set of PDFs that might be useful.

There’s no end to the number and types of van modifications that you can do to a van. For some people, adding mods is half the point of owning a van!
